So, I was at Wal-mart today and I was buying a poster board for a church activity. I figured I would decorate it, so I got some of those glitter gen pens and then some colored sharpies that I could decorate it with.
Well, I got up to the counter and as she rang up the markers and she asked to see my ID to buy them.
Obviously I showed it to her, but even the people behind me in line were like what the heck?
Then she acts like this is a common thing. She told us that you need to be over 18 to buy cough syrup (which everyone knows), markers, white out and even glue.
I think things are getting a little out of hand here with what people are making drugs out of these days.
Obviously sniffing markers was always a thing, but we didn’t have to card to buy some. And who thinks of these things anyway?
Know what I think will really get us high? Glue. It was super fun to eat it when we were 5, might as well do it now too.
I don’t get it.
But the worst part was that after the conversation about the different normal things I could buy that I could make drugs out of, she then said “Just feel lucky that you can pass for not 18.”
I don’t even look 18? I am in my twenties. A few years older than being 18.
Plus, anyone who has had experience with an 18 year old would not really want to be seeming like one.
I felt like it was the Twilight Zone.
At least Walmart isn’t boring.
